Hongda Steel contracts Sinosteel for thin strip line
China’s Shanxi Hongda Iorn & Steel Group has contracted Sinosteel Engineering & Technology Co. to provide a thin strip casting line, according to a report released by the Government of Yuncheng City in Shanxi Province.
The two companies are reported to be jointly building the first thin strip casting production line in China with independent intellectual property rights. The capacity will be 1 million tonnes/year, Kallanish notes.
