Hoa Phat reaches 10mt of HRC output milestone
Vietnamese leading steelmaker Hoa Phat Group saw its hot-rolled coil (HRC) production officially reach the 10 million tonnes milestone on 6 June 2024, Kallanish notes.
After reporting an HRC production record of 9mt on 20 March this year, Hoa Phat took around two months to increase production by another 1mt. This was around four years after the first HRC was produced by Hoa Phat in May 2020.
