Hoa Phat pushes construction steel sales
Vietnam’s Hoa Phat Group saw domestic sales continue to be driven by its expanding capacity. The trend is expected to continue as it commissions more capacity at its new steelworks in Dung Quat but profits have been squeezed, Kallanish notes.
The group saw its total construction steel sales grow 22.9% year-on-year to 1.34 million tonnes in the first half of 2019. That left it with a domestic construction steels market share of around one quarter.…
