Hoa Phat installs slab caster at Dung Quat
Vietnam's leading steelmaker Hoa Phat Group has installed a Danieli QSP (Quality Strip Production) line at its Dung Quat plant, Kallanish notes. The slab caster was manufactured in cooperation with China First Heavy Industry Group.
The steelmaker plans to have 3.5 million tonnes/year of hot rolled coil capacity with thicknesses of 1.5-12mm and widths of 900-1,500mm. The line can produce a wide range of steels from common carbon steel grades…
