Hoa Phat output, exports surge in August
Vietnam's leading steelmaker, Hoa Phat Group, saw steel production soar further in August, mainly supported by the demand rise in southern Vietnam, Kallanish notes.
In August, Hoa Phat supplied around 490,000 tonnes of steel to the market, up by 65% year-on-year. This includes over 320,000t of finished steel and 170,000t of billet. Production in the southern area reached 76,000t, twice the amount in August 2019. The export volume of finished steel in…
