Hoa Phat commissions pipe plant
Vietnam’s Hoa Phat Steel has commissioned a 120,000 tonnes/year welded pipe plant in Da Nang. The project is the latest to be commissioned in a rapid expansion of capacity by the firm, Kallanish notes.
Hoa Phat is targeting over 1 million t/y of pipe capacity by 2020 across this and three other sites. The plant is expected to serve both domestic customers in central Vietnam and export customers in Cambodia and Laos.
