Hoa Phat boosts output, exports in January
Vietnam’s Hoa Phat Group says it sold 250,000 tonnes of construction steel in January, 27% up year-on-year. Its export volumes have also been growing, driven by Cambodia, the USA and Japan, Kallanish notes.
Domestically the company remains focussed on the north of the country, with only 48,800t sold in the southern and central regions. Sales there may increase however as output at its new Dung Quat steelworks in central Quang Nhai province ramps up. In Jan…
