Hoa Phat plans significant output increase in 2020
Major Vietnamese steel producer Hoa Phat Group, has set a target to produce 3.6 million tonnes/year of steel products, Kallanish notes from the company’s official plan. This includes 800,000 tonnes of billets and 500,000t of hot-rolled coils this year.
Affected by Covid-19, Hoa Phat has had to delay the commissioning of the HRC production lines at its new Dung Quat steelworks. The latest plan is to see HRC enter the market in September this year. In addition…
