Higher utilisation keeps Turkish rod export quotes firm
Turkish wire rod producers have further increased their export quotes as a result of higher scrap prices and longer lead times.
Wire rod export prices currently stand mostly at $515-525/tonne fob Turkey, up from $510-515/t fob a week earlier.
Some producers, however, are seen to have stopped offering as they are fully booked until December.
Although demand for wire rod slightly slowed last week, it is still outperforming rebar demand.
