Costlier scrap further lifts Turkish long steel quotes
Turkish long steel producers are seen increasing their offer prices gradually each day as scrap prices continue their uptick.
On Thursday, Turkish mills’ official rebar offers were at $600-610/tonne fob Turkey actual weight, up from $585-600/t last week. Offers for mesh-quality wire rod are at $610-625/t fob.
Demand, however, remains sluggish in export markets.
