Higher prices, shipments lift Agha Steel earnings
Higher sales prices and volumes lifted Agha Steel Industries (ASIL)'s revenue in the third fiscal quarter through March. The firm says Pakistan’s economy improved in the period thanks to growth in remittances, foreign direct investment, and tax collection.
Agha saw net sales surge 37% on-year in the March quarter to PKR 5.28 billion ($34.4 million), while net profit soared 95% to PKR 541m. The firm did not provide sales tonnages.
