Higher HRC, slow demand squeeze Turkish welded pipe
Turkish welded pipe exporters are seen failing to reflect actual increases in hot rolled coil prices in their offers as global demand for pipes remains slow.
Quotes for Turkish electric resistance welded (ERW) pipe made from S235 grade HRC were at $730-750/tonne fob theoretical weight on Thursday, up from $710-750/t fob a week ago. However, hot rolled coil prices have increased by $35-40/t in a week.
