High European prices lift Turkey's July rod exports
After recovering in June, Turkish wire rod exports rose by 39.1% on-year in July to 150,579 tonnes, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish. This was also up from 109,770t in June.
Their average price rose to $764/tonne from $433.6/t in July 2020 and $719/t in June.
July exports of round rod below 14mm diameter increased by 67.8% on-year to 95,550t. The Netherlands, surprisingly, was the largest buyer with 28,649t versus zero…
