Hierros Añon to launch new French plate mill
Spain's Hierros Añon has taken a majority stake in Laminoirs des Landes, the new plate mill due to start producing in September near Bayonne, South of France. The Spanish steel group also recently acquired Comercial de Laminados from Germany's Klockner.
Hierros Añon will hold 60% of the new company, while the rest will be controlled by Switzerland's Sipro Stahl Holding, headquartered in Geroldswil.
