Hierros Añón buys Spanish wire rod mill
Spain's Gallega de Mallas, part of the Hierros Añón group, confirmed the acquisition of the former Daxiong high carbon wire rod mill in North-West Spain, Kallanish learns from local sources. The Spanish group also owns Comercial de Laminados, amongst its other assets.
The mill, formerly controlled by a Chinese group, entered into administration in 2015 after having been producing under the then new owner for only two years.
