Hiap Teck targets profit on higher prices
Malaysia’s Hiap Teck Venture recorded a net loss of MYR 60 million ($15m) in the first half of its current financial year (August 2015-January 2016). It hopes for a much stronger second half (ending July), however, now that is has shut down Eastern Steel and is making the most of lower Chinese exports, Kallanish notes.
