Hengsheng Ductile ignites blast furnace
Liaoning's Haicheng Hengsheng Ductile Company (Hengsheng) has ignited its 1,350-cubic-metre blast furnace, which has been under construction for over 12 months, Kallanish notes.
By demolishing 1.279 million tonnes/year of capacity at one 420m³ BF and one 680m³ BF, Hengsheng Ductile can commission the new BF with 1.22m t/y of capacity. It had originally been planned with a 1.28m t/y capacity.
