Hengsheng Ductile caps BF
Liaoning’s Haicheng Hengsheng Ductile Company (Hengsheng) capped its 1,350-cubic-metre blast furnace on 23 June 2020, Kallanish notes. The BF started construction on 12 October 2019.
For the whole capacity replacement project, Hengsheng demolished one 420cum BF and one 680cum BF to free up capacity quota. The original 1.28 million tonnes/year capacity will be reduced to 1.22m t/y (see Kallanish passim).
