Anyang city imposes June production restrictions on steelmakers
According to a local government announcement, Anyang city is to implement production restrictions on several industries over 16-30 June, including sintering (see table). This is to control air pollution in the area, Kallanish notes.
Because of reduced local rainfall in June, ozone and dust pollution will become heavier later this month. The government is therefore moving to restrict pollution from heavy industry.
