Hellenic Halyvourgia halts mill on low demand
Hellenic Halyvourgia is halting production at its EAF-based longs mill in Volos, Greece, due to a lack of demand as a consequence of the global outbreak of coronavirus.
The company is putting its workers on temporary layoff and is stopping production as of this week. In a release to local newspapers the company also mentions that it is having difficulty in sourcing raw materials for its operations.
