HEG sees industry consolidation improving electrodes production, prices
India’s HEG expects recent graphite electrode industry consolidation to improve capacity utilisation going forward and consequently push up prices. Increased electric arc furnace route steel production is also envisaged, as the cost balance tilts in favour of EAFs over the BOF route.
