HEG earnings plummet in December quarter
Indian graphite electrode producer HEG Ltd. saw consolidated revenue plummet -79% on-year in the third fiscal quarter through December 2019 to INR 394 crores ($55.2 million). Profit after tax plunged to INR 6 crores from INR 867 crores a year earlier.
In the nine months through December HEG’s revenue thus dropped -66% on-year to INR 1,775 crores, while profit after tax plummeted -87% to INR 512 crores.
