Shougang Jingtang regains expansion project approval
In mid-July the Hebei provincial Development and Reform Commission has re-approved the coastal Shougang Jingtang second phase expansion project, which aims to add in total 8.91 million tonnes/year of iron and 9.4m t/y of semi-finished steel products. The construction was forced to stop in December 2016 due to the new requirement that 125% as much capacity must be removed as added.
