Hebei Puyang upgrade project receives environmental approval
Hebei Puyang Iron and Steel Group (Hebei Puyang) has received environmental approval from Hebei Ecological Environment Bureau for its upgrade and capacity replacement project, Kallanish notes. The project plan was released in November 2019.
The firm plans to build one 1,580m³ blast furnace with 1.37 million tonnes/year of iron capacity, and one 140-tonne converter with about 1.52m t/y of steel capacity. Commissioning is expected by the end of 2021.
