Hebei Puyang plans to upgrade facilities
According to the Hebei Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, Hebei Puyang is preparing to construct a new blast furnace and converter through capacity replacement, Kallanish notes.
It plans to build one 1,580-cubic meter BF and one 140-tonne converter starting in March 2020. After commissioning in December 2021, the new capacity will reach 1.37 million tonnes/year of iron and 1.52m t/y of steel.
