Hebei publishes more capacity replacement plans
Hebei has published capacity replacement plans for Hebei Anfeng Iron & Steel and Jiujiang Wire Rod. It is planned to eliminate in total 1.72 million tonnes/year of iron and 5.13m t/y of steel capacity, which will be replaced with 1.13m t/y of iron and 3.9m t/y of steel capacity, Kallanish notes.
According to the announcement, the companies will have sojme unused capacity quotas due to the closures. This can be either saved for further projects…
