Hebei Huaxi commissions relocation project
Hebei steelmaker Huaxi Steel has commissioned its relocation project in the Tangshan Seaport Economic Development Zone.
The new steel base operates one 2,300 cubic-metre blast furnace with 1.96 million tonnes/year of pig iron capacity, Kallanish notes. Meanwhile, a 170-tonne converter with 1.8m t/y steelmaking capacity is supplying crude steel to its 1.7m t/y billet caster.
