Hebei demolishes two more blast furnaces
Northern China’s Hebei province demolished two more blast furnaces on 27 November as it targets 60 million tonnes/year of removed steelmaking capacity over 2014-2017, according to local media. The policy continues to target capacities which have already ceased production because of the weak market, Kallanish notes.
