Hebei to close 14 non-compliant coking plants
The Hebei provincial government announced over the weekend that it will close 14 coking plants by the end of this year, including 11 coking plants currently in operation. The reason for the closure is that these plants have not obtained compliant environmental impact assessments (EIA) and sewage permits, Kallanish notes.
