HBIS Wusteel delivers 170mm thick offshore steel
HBIS Wusteel in China’s Hebei Province has developed and delivered 170 millimetre thick S355G10+N-Z35 offshore steel to customers, Kallanish notes.
The thickness of this product breaks a world record. This product with good mechanical and welding properties previously had a maximum thickness of 150mm.
It is expected to replace imported products and be applied to the manufacture of key parts of offshore floating oil storage vessels.
