HBIS Tanggang starts production at relocated Laoting site
Hebei Iron & Steel's Tangshan Steel (HBIS Tanggang) has ignited its No.1 2,922m³ blast furnace at the Laoting relocation site, marking the commissioning of the relocated project, Kallanish notes.
HBIS Tanggang has already ceased production and shut down its old headquarters with 7.04 million tonnes/year of iron capacity, 6.84m t/y of crude steel capacity and 11m t/y of finished steel capacity (see Kallanish passim).
