HBIS Shisteel hot tests rebar mill
China's ShiSteel, part of Hebei Iron & Steel Group (HBIS), has successfully hot tested a rebar mill at its new base, Kallanish notes.
This new line is designed to produce alloy structural steel, gear steel, spring steel, bearing steel and die steel, with a total capacity of 800,000 tonnes/year. The products include bar in 80-260mm diameters, billet of 150-300mm dia and square bar of 75-180mm dia.
