HBIS produces thickest high-speed wire rod
HBIS Group’s Shijiazhuang Iron and Steel (Shisteel) has successfully produced high-speed wire rod with a diameter of 28mm. This is the current upper limit for high-speed wire rod in the world, Kallanish notes.
Production at the wire rod line can be easily switched between 5mm and 28mm at a speed of over 100 metres/second. These products are used for automobile, machinery, metal products and other industries.
