HBIS listed arm purchases Laoting shares

Hebei Iron & Steel’s (HBIS) listed arm announced on Shenzhen Stock Exchange that it is going to purchase 100% of the shares of its Laoting plant, Kallanish notes. HBIS intends to increase the competitiveness of its listed arm, by adding the new plant to its holdings. The HBIS Laoting project, with 7.32 million tonnes/year of iron capacity, 7.47m t/y of crude steel capacity and 7.1m t/y of finished steel capacity, is due to begin commissioning this year. …
