HBIS Laoting starts operating last blast furnace
Hebei Iron & Steel (HBIS) Laoting Iron & Steel Company’s third and final blast furnace started iron production on 10 April. All three identical BFs are now in operation at this plant, Kallanish notes.
The first and second 2,922m³ BF were put into production on 7 September and 17 November last year, respectively. The three BFs have a combined capacity of 7.32 million tonnes/year of iron.
