HBIS Laoting puts second blast furnace into operation
Hebei Iron & Steel (HBIS) Laoting Iron & Steel Company has put its No.2 2,922m³ blast furnace into production. This is the second BF in operation at this plant, Kallanish notes.
The first, No.1 2,922m³ BF started production from early September, and No.3 BF is expected to go into operation in late December. Although the No.1 BF is still in trial production, it is planned to reach design production capacity soon, HBIS says.
