HBIS Handan starts up Primetals KOBM converter
Hebei Iron & Steel subsidiary Handan Steel has installed bottom blowing and a new process control system to its current basic oxygen furnace (BOF). It has also upgraded it to a Kloeckner Oxygen Blowing Maximillanshuette (KOBM) converter, according to Primetals.
