HBIS eases flat steel supply with BF restart
HBIS Group Serbia Iron & Steel has ramped up blast furnace No.1 at its Smederevo works after the unit restarted on 2 August, the company confirms to Kallanish.
This blast furnace was shut down in July 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic and market situation that prevailed at that time.
“BF No.1 at HBIS Group Serbia has been restarted on 2 August and currently is in optimum operation,” the firm’s press office says.
