Hawsons upgrades iron project’s mineral resource estimate
Australian miner Hawsons Iron has reported a 21% increase in the Hawsons Iron Project’s mineral resource estimate to 484 million tonnes, from 400mt previously, Kallanish notes.
The estimate includes a maiden 54mt in the measured category and 193mt in the indicated category, which is enough to support future reserve estimation and debt financing. Hawsons intends to develop the very large low-grade ore deposit into a major high-grade concentrate producer.
