Hawsons agrees 58mt annual concentrate offtake
Australian iron ore producer Hawsons Iron has agreed non-binding Letters of Intent (LOI) for the offtake of up to 58 million tonnes/year of high-grade Hawsons supergrade concentrate from the global steel sector as pressure on the industry rises to decarbonise production, Kallanish notes.
Domestic, Asian and Middle Eastern Steel Mills account for 22m t/y and commodity traders make up the balance of demand.
