Hawsons completes $3.42 million institutional placement
Australian iron ore producer Hawsons Iron has completed an institutional placement of 62.50 million new ordinary fully-paid shares at an issue price of AUD 0.08 ($0.055) a share to raise AUD 5 million for working capital, Kallanish notes.
Its managing director Bryan Granzien says the pricing discount required to successfully complete the placement reflected the difficult equity market conditions and prevailing investor sentiment.
