China's Zhuoli commissions tinplate mill
China’s MCC CIDSI Group announced last week that Handan Zhuoli Plate has successfully hot tested an ultra-thin tinplate mill with continuous annealing in Hebei, Kallanish notes.
The designed capacity of the mill is 250,000 tonnes/year. This facility can produce food grade tinplate with a product thickness of 0.17-0.55mm and in widths of 700-1050mm. The maximum processing speed of the mill is around 500 metres/minute.
