Environmental inspection group warns Handan steelmakers
Three major steel companies in China’s Handan city have been publicly disgraced due to environmental issues, according to Hebei Environmental Enforcement Inspection Group’s Handan Team. Responsibility for the punishment of offenders and any remedial follow-up work have been transferred to the local government. The biggest offender Xinghua will be directly disposed of by the provincial government.
