Handan steelmakers invest $435 million tackling pollution
Hebei’s Handan city plans to invest about CNY 3 billion ($434.9 million) in a steel pollution control project, according to the local air pollution control group. The environmental costs for steelmakers are increasing in China with increasing political weight targeted at the issue.
