Handan Steel starts rolling project
Hebei Iron & Steel (HBIS) subsidiary Handan Iron & Steel (Hangang or Handan Steel) is constructing two wire rod production lines for its relocation base, Kallanish learns from the steelmaker.
The two mills each have 1 million tonnes/year of design capacity, but Handan Steel will initially operate them at 600,000 t/y. They are expected to commission in June 2022.
