Handan calls for sinter, coke cuts
Due to forecasts for poor air quality, Handan city in Hebei Province has announced production restrictions on sintering machines at steelmakers and coking companies between 22:00 on 11 June and 24:00 on 30 June local time, Kallanish notes.
For sintering machines that are already facing 50% production restrictions, dual-fan plants need to operate only a single fan, and single-fan plants must be shut down from 20:00 to 8:00 every day.
