Hamriyah Steel uses Oman, Russia billet for restart
United Arab Emirates-based rebar mill Hamriyah Steel has restarted production – after an almost five-year hiatus – using billet sourced from Jindal Shadeed and parent company Metalloinvest, a company source tells Kallanish.
The Sharjah-based re-roller, 80%-owned by the Russian steelmaker, has contracted production of 30,000 tonnes of rebar in April and May combined. In June and July Hamriyah plans to produce around 40,000 t/month. It is currently off…
