Hämeenlinna mill fire affects SSAB cold rolling output
Sweden’s SSAB tells Kallanish that the fire at its Hämeenlinna mill in Finland early last week will mean that its cold-rolling mill will be running at reduced capacity for approximately five weeks.
The cause of the fire in a transformer in the cold-rolling mill on 12 June is still under investigation, the steelmaker says and reconfirms that there were no injuries. The galvanizing and colour-coated production lines are running normally again.
