Gunvor signs Hawsons pellet offtake deal
International trading house Gunvor Group has signed a non-binding letter of intent with Australia's Carpentaria Exploration Limited to procure up to 1 million tonnes/year of ‘supergrade’ magnetite pellet from its Hawsons Iron Project.
Hawsons plans to start up 10m t/y of magnetite concentrate from around 2020. The project has inferred and indicated reserves of 1.77 billion tonnes, which it estimates could produce 263 million tonnes of concentrate…
