Guigang Steel partially secures blast furnace capacity quotas

China’s Guangxi Guigang Iron & Steel is planning to build a 2,050 cubic metre-blast furnace, with the capacity replacement plan now in the publicity period, according to the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Guangxi. Construction is scheduled for between January 2024 and June 2025, with 1.74 million tonnes/year of iron capacity, Kallanish notes.
